Wichita Bears La Cage aux Bears present this years “extreme campy drag show”,
Miss Trailer Park 2006!  This year’s show will be a spoof on beauty pageants along
with their typical comedy and sometimes raunchy portrayal of drag shows.  The event
returns to Our Fantasy this year on Saturday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m.  Doors open at 6
p.m. and admission is $5.00.

 The event features a tour of the areas infamous trailer parks and red neck establishments
and those who inhabit them.  This alone fetches up images of a unique night of
entertainment for those attending.  This year’s show will be a judged event with a local panel
of judges, rating the performers in three areas of competition.  
Miss Trailer Park “pageant” will open with introducing the contestants in their “presentation
wear.”  The interpretation of this rating criteria, is up to the contestant …but basically it will
be the apparel that will form the first impression and character of each entry.  Some may be
in bar-wear, some in sports wear, at home look, or special “street walker” type costume.

The second competition area will be the SWIMWEAR event!  Yes, the bears will be in their
favorite swimwear, some one-piece outfits/concoctions, some two-piece and anything
between.  This should prove to be an interesting, yet outrageous costume design.

The final area of competition will be the formal wear…but not necessarily “evening gown”
competition.  While contestants are showing off their formal wear they will perform their
second selected lip-sink song, their other song will be “sung” during their swimwear
presentation.  Following their musical presentation they will be asked to answer an on-stage
question drawn from a mayonnaise jar.
Miss Liberty 2006, Guy La Chance, aka Anita Vi Brater, will MC the event.  “We think we
have come up with the best show yet from our crazy bears.  We are sure all will enjoy the
evening and appreciate the efforts that the participants have put into their songs and
costumes.”  La Chance adds that “You will want to be on-time for the show, as we will be
having a very unique, risqué and hilarious opening segment!  We are sure you will enjoy the
evening and support Wichita Bears and their activities.”

   A silent auction will be held for decorated and dressed Teddy Bears donated by
organizations, businesses and individuals.  The proceeds from the Teddy Bear Auction will
go to Donna Sweet’s Emergency Fund.  Anyone interested in contributing a bear is welcome
to do so.  Again, the club is encouraging that teddy bears be dressed to reflect the theme of
Miss Trailer Park 2006.  Performer’s tips will also be donated to the Sweet Emergency
Fund.          

The show will include about two hours of laughter and entertainment, and will have
performers from Wichita Bears and possibly from sister bear clubs in the area.  An open call
to the community is also issued for the event.  Those who are interested in providing a
