| Teddy Bear Auction $66 donation to Donna Sweet Fund ! |
| We solicit decorated Teddy Bears from the community and bear groups for our La Cage event. Most are costumed in the theme of the year's event. This year, expect some "Show Bears." The funds raised from this auctioned is given to the Dr. Donna Sweet's Emergency Fund. This fund helps AIDS victims with emergency money such as co-pays for medications and immediate needs. We support this effort each year at this time, and appreciate the work and cooperation we receive from them (they usually donate teddy bears for the auction as well! |
| Performer's Tips $200 in canned goods donated to MCC's Food Bank ! |
| Our performers were awesome, and received lots, and lots and lots of tips as they performed, but they were not working for themselves, they were working tips for others. "Loaves and Fishes" is the food bank operated by First MCC here in Wichita. This bank serves the needs of many clients in our area, not only GLBT people, but the whole community. The tips donations are changed yearly so we can serve other deserving charities throughout the community. This is our first time working with Loaves and Fishes and are looking forward to working with them! |
